INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Volunteers are the backbone of our adaptive program, Oarbusters. Volunteers help in various ways including, but not limited to:
- Helping adaptive rowers get in and out of boats
- Bowing boats with an adaptive athlete during practices/races
- Sitting next to an adaptive rower to provide instruction as needed
- Assisting coaching for athletes on the water and on land
- Rowing as a guide to lead blind athletes in singles/doubles for practices/races
- Talking to families while athletes are on the water training
- Carrying equipment to/from the docks for practices/races
- Providing logistical support on the docks and at regattas
You do not need to be an active sculler to volunteer.
